Jess has worked in Asset Protection, Operations and Finance, all of which have had a flair of inventory management and global enterprise systems. By employing a keen understanding of analysis and performance measurement, Jess is laser-focused on bringing order to chaos and building sustainable programs with progressive technology. In her free time, Jess enjoys individual endurance sports with accomplishments including two full-distance Ironman races and several multi-day cycling challenges.

Nate Schisler

Nate is the co-founder and “Chief Maven” of Maven Circular. Nate brings nearly two decades of integrated supply chain experience to bare, all of which has been focused on apparel and consumer goods. Nate was raised in rural Southern Ohio where, at a young age, he developed an appreciation for working with his hands and a practical, pragmatic approach to life and problem solving. Nate’s corporate roles have always found him working in the epicenter of people, processes and technology - three “languages” he speaks well. Nate has led, or supported, dozens of facility openings, expansions and retrofits. He has launched thriving 3PL partnerships, delivered impossible projects and designed and optimized profitable recommerce programs.

Partners in life and in business

With nearly four decades of combined experience, Jess and Nate wear their non-traditional career paths as badges of honor. They love mountain biking and adventure travel. While they work and travel globally, they haven’t forgotten where they came from. Jess and Nate recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world and when not on the road for either business or pleasure, they reside in Central Ohio.

 Company History

Maven Circular was born out of a shared desire to work with purpose-driven companies, help them make rad products, and redefine what it means to be a “consultant”.  We wanted to be a different kind of consulting firm.  When we engage with a client, we wanted to lead with our heart, share what we think upfront, add value quickly, and dispense with the unnecessary slide decks and fear mongering.

This was our product, but it needed a market.  Enter recommerce.  What we found in recommerce was an opportunity that made our diverse backgrounds seem like they were intentionally curated.  We found an opportunity so compelling, such a natural fit for our cumulative experience, we knew this was IT.

Today, Maven Circular works with the brands, technologists, operators and investors building the recommerce channel - and occasionally we get the chance to bring two or more of our clients together to launch an incredibly synergistic product.  We are doing what we love and building a market that will have a positive impact for generations to come.
